This award is presented annually to senior graduate students who have demonstrated excellence in research and scholarship in an area of applied mechanics.
The 2020 honorees, approved Feb. 20 by the Board of Regents, are Miranda D. Brown, Angela Violi, Gyorgyi Csankovszki, John Montgomery and Susan Scott Parrish.
The NSF CAREER awards are the National Science Foundation’s most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.
The SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award has recognized manufacturing engineers, age 35 or younger, who have made exceptional contributions and accomplishments in the manufacturing industry.
ARC Team, Shanna Daly, Karl Grosh, Wai Lu, Chinedum Okwudire, Michael Umbriac, all have accepted College of Engineering Awards.
