Professor Art Kuo’s research on a prosthetic device that “recycles” energy has been featured in both Popular Science and Science Daily.
The February 17, 2010, articles discuss the new prosthetic foot, which Kuo says helps to reduce extra energy normally expended when using an artificial foot. A paper about the device, Recycling Energy to Restore Impaired Ankle Function during Human Walking, was published in the February 17 edition of in the journal PLoS ONE.
