Five ME students have received College of Engineering awards and prizes. These recipients will be recognized at the annual Student Leaders and Honors Brunch on Sunday, March 18.
Gregory Cass: J.A. Bursley Prize
The J.A. Bursley Award is presented to an outstanding senior mechanical engineering student.
Steven Hoffenson: Distinguished Leadership Award
The Distinguished Leadership Award is conferred upon undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and service to the College, University, and community.
Steven Hoffenson: Richard and Eleanor Towner Prize for Distinguished Academic Achievement
The Richard and Eleanor Towner Prize for Distinguished Academic Achievement is presented to the outstanding graduate student (Master’s or Ph.D. students) in each degree program. Criteria considered by the department awards committee include student’s active participation in research, leadership and academic performance (GPA).
Mathieu Scott Davis: Distinguished Leadership Award
The Distinguished Leadership Award is conferred upon undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and service to the College, University, and community.
Vivek Thanabal: Distinguished Academic Achievement Award
The Distinguished Academic Achievement Award is presented to the outstanding undergraduate in each degree program. Criteria considered by the department awards committee include academic achievement, exemplary character, leadership in class and activities, and potential for success in future endeavors.
Anurag Tripathi: Richard and Eleanor Towner Prize for Distinguished Academic Achievement
