Mohammadi receives 2015 HHMI Fellowship

ME PhD candidate Maziar Mohammadi has been selected as a 2015 Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) International Student Research Fellow. Mohammadi was one of 45 students from 18 countries selected to receive this honor out of an initial pool of 329 applicants.

The International Student Research Fellowship supports international students during their third to fifth years of graduate school in the United States. Awardees will receive $43,000 during each year of the fellowship. The fellowship was established in 2011 and since then, the HHMI has invested $20.8 million in the program. Mohammadi’s advisor is ME Professor Ronald Larson.
