12/08/2010

Assanis On November 29th, the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) released its latest findings in a report entitled “Report to the President on Accelerating the Pace of Change in Energy Technologies Through an Integrated Federal Energy Policy.” The recommendations in the report were made by the effort of both the PCAST members, including ME Professor Dennis Assanis, and various energy experts providing input to the group.

The report addresses ways to transform the current U.S. energy system in the next one to two decades by adopting a federal energy policy which would focus on clean energy technology innovation and the U.S.’s potential to become a leader in the development of these technologies.

The American Energy Innovation Council (AEIC) has issued a statement endorsing the report: http://bipartisanpolicy.org/news/press-releases/2010/11/statement-charles-holliday-chairman-american-energy-innovation-council-r
