2505 GGB 2350 Hayward St, Ann Arbor, MI, United StatesTurbulent flows made up of solid particles or liquid droplets can be found across a broad range of engineering and scientific disciplines. The nonlinear and multiscale nature of such flows often precludes a direct analytic solution, and instead we must turn to numerical simulations that leverage high-performance computing resources or coarse-grained simulations that rely on subgrid-scale models.
