The Regents of the University of Michigan have approved the following promotions of ME faculty, effective September 1, 2024.
Okwudire has received the award “for sustained commitment and significant contributions to advancing manufacturing education at the University of Michigan and nationally.”
This past semester, ME celebrated two endowed professorship recognitions. André Boehman was named the Vennema Professor of Engineering, and Bogdan Epureanu was named the Roger L. McCarthy Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
This award is presented by the Office of the Vice President for Research based on exceptional scholarly achievements, as evidenced by publications and other activities in an academic field of study.
This competetive award aims to encourage students early in their courses of study to pursue graduate studies in research areas of interest to the DoD.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, four mechanical engineering (ME) students have been selected for this fellowship.
